I found a great article on Dave Quinn's blog outlining the value of scripture memorisation and a great list of suggested verses for new Christians. I've put together a WB course here based on his suggestions (we had all but two of the verses).
"I am a big believer in memorising Scripture to help you grow and stay strong in your faith. This is especially important for new Christians as it helps to fill yourself with God’s Word and to keep you on track. Below are some of my favourite memory verses I encourage people to memorise. Especially if they are new to the faith."

Memory Verses for Christians- like the diversity of the muscial styles and the different voices harmononizing. Also like that it starts with a 'wisdom' scripture and is then followed with all NT verses.
