Jesus wants to come into your life and transform you into a better self. He wants to save you. Jesus says ”Follow me”.
In the Bible in the book the apostle Paul wrote to the Romans, chapter 10 verse 9 we read:
”If you confess with your mouth ”Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved”.

It is not the prayer itself that saves you, but your repentance and your faith behind the prayer that will save you. Jesus has opened this way of salvation through his death on the cross and his subsequent resurrection from death. He lives and loves you.
PRAYER
O loving and kind God, Creator of the universe,
Have mercy on me.
I know that I am a sinner and there is nothing that I can do to save myself.
Have pity upon me and take away the awful stain of my transgressions.
Please forgive me for going my own way, for being self-sufficient.
I now understand that I cannot save myself or work my way to Heaven.
Wash me and cleanse me from this guilt and erase my sins from your sight.
I put my faith and trust in Jesus Christ.
I believe that Jesus bore all my sins when He died on the cross
and thanks to His sacrifice I can receive forgiveness and righteousness.
I believe that Jesus rose from the dead and that He lives today.
Create in me a new clean heart, o God, filled with clean thoughts and right desires.
Give me your Holy Spirit to help me, guide me and make me willing to obey you.
Thank you, Jesus for your salvation! Thank you for loving me!
Now I want to follow you and honor you with my life.
